About the Author

Malcolm was born and raised in Coventry, England. His parents were WWII veterans and survivors of the Coventry Blitz in 1940.

He attended Caludon Castle High School and continued onto Coventry Technical College studying electrical and electronic engineering and telecommunications.

In 1982, he emigrated to Ottawa, Canada, where he spent two years before moving back to Great Britain, where he lived in Llandogo, South Wales. Itchy feet made him pack bags again. In 1985, his company relocated him to Boca Raton, Florida in the United States.
In 1998, he co-founded a technology company and traveled extensively around the world on business. He also lived in Singapore during 2007 and 2008 to introduce his product line into the Asia Pacific region.
He sold the business in June of 2013 and now spends much of his time traveling to adventurous destinations that are more obscure and off-the-beaten-track, such as:

  • Camping in the Mongolian Wilderness

  • Trekking the Himalayan Mountains

  • Trekking the Borneo Rainforest

  • Staying in the World's Northernmost human settlement in Svalbard

  • Diving in the World's most biodiverse marine park, Raja Ampat in Indonesia

  • Climbing the World's highest sand dune in the 55-million year old Namib Desert

  • Meeting the mountain tribes of Northern Thailand

  • Rice farming in the Thailand rainforest

  • Caving in the 500-milion year old Ha Long Bay, Vietnam

  • Climbing to Tigers Nest Monastery in Bhutan, twice

  • Spending a week in the sacred region of Tibet

To date, he has visited 118 countries, which is likely to increase due to his speaking assignments around the World.

It's been a wild ride and he realizes that he has been very fortunate. Life's been good so far and it's not over yet, however he does realize that it will come to an end one day.

Safe travels.
